PAPER BRIDGE :-

 

RULES:-

 

• Design a truss bridge using paper and white adhesive.

• Time limit will be of 3 hours.

• Maximum ‘4’ members are allowed in a team.

• Construct a truss bridge of dimension: 

 

     Length = 500 ± 50 mm.

     Width  = 120 mm. 

     Height = 100 mm.

• The roadway should be continuous and able to pass a 80x80 mm imaginary vehicle through it.

• 25 newspapers, white adhesive and 3m tape (2no.).

• No other materials should be used.

 

TESTING CRITERIA:-

 

1. Testing will be done after 24 hours of drying period.

2. Loading will be done at the center of the bridge.

3. Loading will be done by putting a plate longitudinally of length 300 mm.

4. The bridge will be tested till failure or up to a 20mm deflection.

5. The bridge with the highest structural efficiency, E will be declared the winner.

• Participants will be disqualified if any of the above rules is violated.

• All decision of the judges shall be final.
